Gifts\, lists\, other people’s traditions\, your own calendar staring back at you. This is the three hours that belong to you. \n\n\n\nNoël en France is a long French lunch in the middle of the holiday season — ivory and evergreen\, champagne gold\, a table you don’t have to set or clear. There’s a dessert salon\, because one dessert is a rounding error. There’s a sparkling cider toast. And there’s an ornament exchange where you bring the story\, not just the box. \n\n\n\nThen we write Letters to Next Christmas.
